Fixed weight
Since 2002 BFR Systems has been developing solutions to portion your products into fixed weight portions. We have developed powerful algorithms to handle all kinds of shapes.
We scan your product with x-ray or 3D cameras and thanks to a weight control system, we make cutting corrections throughout the production to insure the most accurate average weight.
Specific Machine

Round cheese line
The fixed weight cutting line - ERMA 70TR patented - is designed for cutting round cheese into fixed weight angular portions.
It is equipped with a weighing and 3D scanning system as well as pre-cutting in two unequal halves, it allows to optimize the yield and the giveaway.
X-RAY CUTTING LINE
Fixed weight ERMA LPF 100F is designed for cheese cutting (like Emmenta)l in fixed weight portions thanks to a X-ray digitization system.
- Guillotine for cutting wheels into bars.
- Transfer of the off-cuts (wheel and loins starters/heels, non-compliant portions) to a single discharge point.
- Jigging of one or both sides of the lanyard by integrating an edger.
- Integration of a portion storage unit and automatic loading of the wrapping machine.

Fixed weight cutting line
ERMA 11000TR ultrasonic slicer is designed to slice round cheese into small slices to obtain fixed weight batches.
This process was patented by BFR Systems-Ermatec, and allows to minimize material loss that usually occurs with round format..
In addition, the application makes it possible to cut slices from AOC cheeses.
